Derby City Thunder

The Derby City Thunder are Louisville’s minor league team as part of the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL). The team formed in 2004 on the principles of sportsmanship, community and unity.  The Thunder love reaching out to their communities while building character and football players of tomorrow.  They are a team that you want to get behind and support, especially if you are from Louisville, KY!

The Thunder currently play at Flaget Field in Louisville.  The games are typically on Saturday’s in the afternoon’s and evenings.  The league is structured like the NFL, played with NFL rules, and is played during the summertime.  It’s an amazing environment to see great football and have a lot of fun.  For more information check out the website below.  Go Thunder!
